OK, so we know yoga and exercise both make us feel good, right? Well, starting in 2018, we wanted to dig deeper— how do these two activities differentially impact mood in a clinical population?

To answer this question, in collaboration with the University of Toronto, we began a research study investigating how different types of yoga and exercise can affect symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress.

The study not only investigates what changes in the participants, but also looks into why and how these changes take place through a strategic combination of cognitive testing, psychological analysis, and physiological measurement.

The end goal of the study will be to deepen our understanding of how mind-body programs can be used to help people gain control over their mental health and live happier, more fulfilling lives.
